You can use almost any standard recipe though if you follow these cooking guidelines. That makes the best, crunchiest, most flavorful pickle you’ve ever had. I have found bloats in stores on the shelves… and had one can from the store, corn IIRC, ‘go off’ after having it sit on my shelf for a while. While Botulism poisoning does happen, it is very rare. Without tested processes for re-canning foods, there is no way to know how to reduce the canning process and the default (although not a recommendation) is to process for the full time and temperature as if starting from scratch.
